Contact-extraction helper

Get your contacts out of WhatsApp.

Your phone holds thousands of numbers plus the chat history of who you actually talk to. Extract gets that off the phone and into a clean, enriched, callable list. Two ways — remotely via Wassenger, or in person in an hour. Either way, we do the work.

Stuck on a step? Ask the assistant — live on this page

Answers stream in as it types. Ask anything: “how do I link Wassenger?”, “walk me through iMazing”, “is this safe / PDPL ok?”

Hi — two ways to do this. Fast: link WhatsApp Business to Wassenger and we pull everything for you. Or I'll walk you through doing it yourself with iCloud + iMazing. Which would you like — or ask me anything?

What we actually need

Three different things live on your phone. Enrichment needs the first two; the third just bloats the export. Get this right and the rest is easy.

What's on your phoneNeed it?Why / what we do with it
Contacts — phone numbers + the names you saved them under✓ Yes — the listThe spine. Each number gets enriched into name · title · company · email · LinkedIn.
Chat metadata — who you message, the saved name, how recently✓ Yes — signalTells us who you actually deal with so we prioritise. We use the who and when, not the words.
Message text & voice notes — the conversation itself, typed or spoken— Not needed (yet)Today we work from the contact list and who/when, not the contents. This is the one part that could add understanding — intent, what was discussed, how warm the relationship is — if we layer on conversation analysis later. Not used now, and audio is heavy to carry.
Media — photos, videos, documents✗ Skip itNo enrichment value, and bloats the export to gigabytes.
The one rule that saves you hours: whenever iMazing or WhatsApp offers it, export CSV / Excel, “without media”. You want the contact list and the chat index — not 10 GB of photos.

The tools — get them here

Native apps only. Never install a third-party “WhatsApp extractor” — they’re malware and a ban risk.

The steps

Part A · The fast route — link via Wassenger (≈ 10 min)
1

We add your number as a device

We create the device slot in Wassenger and send you a QR code. No login on your side.
We do this
2 min
2

Scan the QR from WhatsApp Business

On your phone, link it as you would WhatsApp Web. Scan the QR we send.
WhatsApp Business → Settings → Linked Devices → Link a device → scan
3 min
3

Leave it connected while it syncs

Wassenger mirrors your chats and contacts to the cloud. Keep your phone on a few minutes.
5 min
4

Done — we pull the data

We read your contacts and chat history directly (number, saved name, who you talk to, recency) into enrichment. No cable, no spreadsheet.
We do this
Why this is safe. Wassenger links through WhatsApp's own “Linked Devices” — the same multi-device feature as WhatsApp Web. Your account, your data, unlink any time.
Part B · The in-person route — book an hour, we do it all

No backup, no upload, nothing to install. Bring your phone, we run iMazing in front of you, and you walk out with it done.

Book a 1-hour Extract session

Pick a slot that suits you — Book on Calendly →. In person, about an hour.

6

Bring your iPhone to the session

That's all you bring. We plug it into our Mac and run iMazing on the spot — your phone never leaves your sight.
~60 min
7

Walk out done

By the end of the hour your contacts and WhatsApp chats are extracted, and we take it straight into enrichment. Nothing to upload, nothing to send afterwards.
Articulate does this
Why in person? Your phone and your data stay with you the whole time — no backup leaves the device, no cloud, no upload. The cleanest and most private way to do it.

Common problems

ProblemFix
The export is huge / takes foreverYou're including media. Re-export without media — CSV/Excel only.
iCloud Contacts looks empty / missing numbersContact sync is off. Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Contacts ON, wait a minute, refresh icloud.com.
iMazing only shows WhatsApp under "Backups"Use the Discover view, not Backups → WhatsApp. It may need one fresh backup first (~10 min).
QR won't scan / "can't link device"WhatsApp allows up to 4 linked devices. Remove an old one in Linked Devices, then rescan.
Two WhatsApp numbers (personal + business)Export the Business one — that's where the customer chats are.
Numbers missing the country codeFine — we normalise to E.164. Just don't delete the +971 where it's there.
You're on Android (no iMazing)contacts.google.com → Export; chats via WhatsApp → chat → ⋮ → Export chat → Without media.
Worried about privacyYour own data, for your own outbound. We use numbers, names and dates — never message contents (UAE PDPL).

Extract → Enrich → HubSpot

The middle step is the one that matters. Don't import the raw export straight into HubSpot — you'd get a CRM full of bare numbers and saved names, nothing you can sell from. Enrichment comes first, and it's the whole point:

ExtractNormalise E.164DedupeEnrich → name · title · company · email · LinkedInICP-scoreImport to your HubSpot
Raw vs enriched. A raw import is just phone numbers. Enrichment turns each one into a full, deduped, scored record — then it lands in your HubSpot. That step between Extract and HubSpot is what makes the list worth calling.
